If no one responds to your post for a certain amount of time is it deleted?
Recently I posted a question about a help file error. . .hoping someone
would have some advice as to how to fix it. . .I got no responses and now I
can't even find the message on the server.

No its not deleted, but there may not be anyone that can help you with this. I
for one haven't found it, and since you say you have reinstalled pov(and, of
course yooou deleted the .hlp files before, didn't you?) it would probably be
your windows that is corrupt, and therefore I'd recommend you tooo reinstall it,
or try to find a "fix" from the mess that M$ calls a website.

Or, if this doesn't appeal to you, get the documentation in some other
format(avaiable on the website)

there's a message from you dated 20/04/1999 in this group that seems to be
the one you can't find.

If you mean the one where windows says that the help file is corrupt the
only solution I have found is to reinstall POV over my current copy. Bad,
yes. Illogical, yes. Works, yes. I don't know, I've given up on trying to
understand nitpicky M$ OS crap.
