Anyone willing to volunteer to make a new POVNOW button for 3.1 ? (Actually,
it'd be best to leave the .1 off and just make it '3'). Something of the same
size as the old one (http://www.povray.org/images/pov3now.gif) but updated a
little (maybe a new design?)

Just call it a small contest ... say something like three days to enter
and the winner gets a free copy of POV-ray. :-)
Marc
P.S.: I will try my best (sure somebody comes up with something
better!).

A Quickshot!
A cone, a torus and a sphere over a checkered plane traced at 400 x 400
and inserted into the old logo. Erased the 3.0 and set the 3.

As always, I am willing to help all I can. Here is my rendetion of a replacement.
As you'll notice there are some slightly plagerized tones in it. This is just a
quick draft put together this afternoon. I hope you like it. It obviously has
room for improvement. Although, after seeing Fabien's image, it almost seems
stupid to post this. Here' goes nothing... =)
PS: The last shape is a yellow torus. I hope you see it well. I think I should
change the color.

Forgot to mention. The image is divided entirely into layers, with alpha channels for
everything (except primitives), so it can be completely redesigned quickly for mods
or future versions. The image is actually 478x170 and looks great at that size. Made
with Adobe Photoshop and POV. Just in case you wanted to know. :)

Here's another. Used same dimensions, 88 by 31; odd size isn't it? Oh
well. Like the 3 I've seen so far, keep them coming guys. I kinda
dislike the current one, probably because it lacks a mirrored sphere.
