I have written a little treegenerator (is this a right word?) as an
include-file for Povray. You can view some quick examples on my website
www.aust-anfertigungen.de > 3D-Visualisierung > Baumgenerator.

Have a look on the first results and let me know, if it's worth to put
the include-file on the web for free download.
It isn't really finished yet - I want to add some more options for the
wild order of virtual plants.

Thank you,
Aust

Beautiful trees!

And exactly _what_ programs were used to produce those other images on
your site? AchiCAD? Astonishing images anyway!

- Mikael.

Please publish the include file!

Your examples show it to be able of producing trees of great character

Your trees are wonderful, great, ..... I'm speechless, ....

Please post the includefile as soon as possible, but I can wait till you
have implemented the additional options. However it will be hard to
wait.

Yours Axel Baune

Thank you, Mikael!

...those other images...- I think you mean the pictures under the secti
on
"3D-Visualisierung" on my site!? (The other two sections - "Malerei" und
"Skulptur"- are showing images of real (oil-)paintings and real
sculptures)

All images under the "3D-Visualisierung" are rendered with Povray and
modelled/written with the internal texteditor of Pov. Only some organic
shapes, like the bed in the "seahouse" are modelled as bicubic_patches
with Spatch.

Hi, Phil!

I'm happy to read such nice reactions.

I have just answered Mikael Carneholm above - he had the same question.
So, the answer is for you!

Wow I just looked at your site. Incredible. Are you ever going to
release the source? People like you can really show what a free
renderer can do. Forget Max or Maya. ( even though I'd like to own one
of them)

How very true! I was stunned by your images, they are just incredible! It
just shows that a good renderer is no use unless there is a good artist to
use it...
