Hi all,
I've just downloaded and installed pve-bin.zip over 3.1a. When I start POV, the
toolbar is blank. At this point, if I run my mouse over the toolbar, a few, but not
all of
the icons appear. I have to turn the toolbar off and then on in options for it to
display
correctly.
I'm not certain where the problem lies, as it worked okay immediately after
installation. However, I've just installed Internet Explorer 5 ( I was using IE4, on
Win95
osr2 ), and the problem appeared. I didn't keep the 3.1a .dll's and .exe, so I can't
just
switch back to them.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Really? I thought as much. This was the full, non-beta release of IE5..I waited until
it
came out as I foolishly thought that it would be bug-free.

Damn Gates to hell.

I uninstalled IE4 about 4 months ago and have had a much happier,
healthier, system ever since. I would recommend the same for everyone
but to his or her their own.

I am getting the same results, except all I do is minimize and maximize POV
and the buttons appear.

BTW, I was doing some stuff today and over the course of a couple hours my
sys resources had dropped 50%. All I had been doing was working on a scene,
rendering and adjusting and rendering again.

Is this to be expected? Could it also be IE5 or POV 3.1e?

I don't mean to be stupid by asking this question; I know in some ways
Windoz is a memory leak at times, but I am working on an animation that will
probably take days to render with somewhere around 300+ frames. I just
don't want a crash!
