For those waiting for the new version of the compressed mesh macro:
Patience. Colefax is working hard on it and it will be released soon.
But since there are people out there who is also waiting for the new
version of the triangle mesh compressor program, I decided to make it
available.
You don't need the new macro to use the generated meshes. The old macro
will work fine as well. The new program has several new handy features.
There is no documentation (it will be available with the new macro) but
starting the program without parameters prints the internal help of the
program.
The zip-file contains the program source code (compilable in virtually any
system with an ansi-c compiler) and a DOS executable (which runs in
32-bit pmode).
http://iki.fi/warp/PovUtils/meshcomp.zip
I will remove the file when Colefax releases his macro.

[amused mode on]
I had a nice little laugh when I mistakenly read the following two sentences
of Warp's post with a colon ":" in between, instead of the "." :

Handy feature indeed ;c)

I've read through it more times than the Christian Bible.
If the pov docs had a little gratuitous sex mixed in it
would become a best seller.

Huh, computers! All they think about is hex! Watch out, they do some
pretty graphic things -- always displaying their bits in front of people.
