I've read at http://slashdot.org today that the CAD environment VARKON
has been LGPL'ed for it's LINUX port ( http://www.varkon.com/whatis.htm
). 

I've just taken a short look at their homepage and I think that this
could be a modelling tool for POVRAY (even if the output has to
programmed in the own programming language of VARKON). The WIN 95/98/NT
port does still cost 875 US$.
