Dear Webmaster(Chris Cason?),

I was trying to make a direct link to the Gallery page of Povray.org as
it appears when visited via the main page (i.e. showing the entire
framest with the "guide" frame on the left so that visitors can choose
to visit the POVray main page and other areas of the site.) Is there
any way to specify a link so that the entire frameset will load but with
a specific menu item such as Gallery in the "main" frame?

If I link directly to http://www.povray.org/gallery/index.html ---- this
takes the browser to this frame without a menu bar and there is no link
to go to the main POVray page. But If I link to http://www.povray.org/
----------I would then have to include verbal instructions for the
visitor to choose Gallery from the menu, which I'd rather not do.

Thanks,

Kevin Odhner,

There might be a better way (I've forgotten much of the little I ever knew
about HTML), but you could make your own frameset with approprate pages and
link to that instead.

I don't think there's any way to do this, without using some special code
on your end (i.e. create your own frames then fill them in).
