Hi,

I am making raytraces in POV-ray 3.1 in which I have objects (polymers)
growing thanks to a #while-loop. The finished part of the polymer is
translated along x and then at random rotated around x and y, after which I
add another monomer.

However, a lot of combinations result in atoms merging with other atoms. I
assume quantum chemistry definitely forbids such compounds. Is it possible
in POV-ray to include a test that shows whether a part of the rotated object
occupies the same space as the monomer that is about to be attached? If so,
then I could repeat the last #while loop hoping to get a better result.

Hope someone has a great idea.
Greetings, Erick
