I posted a patch for POV 3.02 (actually, TMPOV 3.02)
which implements a #system command to
news:povray.binaries.programming .

It basically allows one to do commands of the following
form (UNIX example) :

#system "echo hello"
#system "gforge ......"

or even :
#system "povray +Iinput.pov +Otmp.tga +W320 +H240"

Comments are welcome.

It should be easily upgradable to 3.1 -- it is quite
simple.
