I understand that the POV team is going to make a change
to make it easier when the 3.1 official release comes out but
this will work for now.
Here is an example of how to make glass in pov 3.1beta.
object{My_Object
pigment{rgbf 1}
finish{ what you like here }
interior{ior 1.5}}
The interior statement need only appear somewhere within
the normal body of an object statement to work correctly.
