I'm gonna ask them on Cserve; will inform the newsgroup later.

Hi,

DOS itself is meant to die sometime, even though it stays there in the shadow of
Windows.
I though people without any means to buy Windows or Unix could get their hands
onto Linux (a very good freeware Unix like OS). Of course, this system involves a
bit of time to get used to and to set up, and it does help to know what Unix is
in the first place, but still I think it is possible without too much hassle to
get it and instal it - a 6 CD box with different versions, including RedHat,
SlackWare, mac ports, ... only cost me approx US$ 20 and a week-end to install.
You can also download it off the net if you are patient enough. I think the basic
version is something like 30 MB and the full version (which you really don't
need) approx 110 MB. The basic version installed takes up in the region of 50 to
70 MB I believe.

Cheers,
Al.
