Can you put a halo in a scene where the container object is also
immersed in fog? I test-rendered first just the fog, looks good. Tested
the halo, looks good. In combination, it's as if I'm seeing the
container object, or evidence of its presence. I'm guessing the fog
is not being calculated when the rays pass through the space of the
halo container object. Can this be done? I'll post the code if
someone says it should be possible, and I can post the image (or the
relevant portion) as soon as POV's done chugging through that part.
This cropped up about 40% through an 800X600 rendering, 20+ hours
of time for my poor P90. Maybe it'll be done with the halo part by
this time tomorrow night! <g> Or am I wasting my time?

Thanks,

Wayne Gordon

P.S. Yes, I am using high #max trace, high samples for halo, etc., etc.

I'm posting the "finished", flawed image on binaries.images for anyone
who wants to see what I meant to do/did wrong. (check one only, please)
