Videdit doesn't read TGA's or any other POVRAY file type...just stupid
DIB's. And, it doesn't do MPEG, just AVI's.
Anyone know where the source to CMPEG is? A simple recompile in 32
bit mode should fix the memory limitation.

I use Corel Draw and have created a macro that inserts the
files into an AVI. The file can be saved as an mpeg but the
quality is low and it takes a long time. Should be easy if
you can get a copy of Corel Draw.

It's not completed yet, but here's your chance to contributed ideas and
suggestions for what I hope will be the "ultimate" Freeware animation
utility program.

It's a late reply, but Correl has a product called Lumier that I use
that lets you do frame by frame AVI or MOV direct from TGA, with the
ability to add soundtracks and scene fades. It ran me $50.00.

Hm, try on ftp.carnet.hr/pub/utils/cmpeg
I think they had a source, not sure now...

Try ftp://ftp.mpeg.org/pub/mpeg/mssg/
They have source for mpeg2enc which is what I assume cmpeg uses as its
encoder.
Best of luck, PoD.
