Is the saving and loading of radiosity data as described in

2.3.4.2.15 Save and load radiosity data

compliant with the competition rules?

Short Answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Saving radiosity data (imho) is similar to used any other
pre-stored data that are the result of a simulation, like meshes (cloth
being draped over a box or even Gilles' grass macro). In fact, I think
that's the only way to get a radiosity image to be spread over multiple
machines without ending up with bands in the output image.

You'll only get yourself into trouble if you use POV-Ray to alter your
actual image (i.e. use POV-Ray to "post-process" your actual image [to add
blur, gamma correct, etc.])

But anyway, I can't possibly see that as being a problem. I'm planning on
doing that as well.

Which rule do you think this could possibly violate?
