This became quite an interesting and insightful discussion, my
appreciation to each and everyone of you.

Yes, the real problem is, that I am not working too often with POV-Ray,
thus I am not used to know how to tweak the settings for best performance.

Still hoping for solutions to avoid endless waiting.
