From http://www.blender.org/

"For the first time (as far as i know) in the Internet history, and maybe
in the "real world" history too, a community of wideworld based people,
only tied by the same "passion", bought a commercial product and decided
to make it available gatuitously for all the people in the world (well, at
least, for those who have a computer access)."

It seems the project succeded...

The Site is up again, they changed it a bit.
Elysiun is a user-community with forum, galleries, links etc. nice folks
there, mostly.
blender.org is more for developers/coders.
I have nothing to do with them. Just visiting them.

Daniel
