:}  when you see it watch it atleast 5 times.... ( i always get something new
out of it each time), i know about 10 people who say 10 different things on
what 2001 was about.....

  Oddly, this 1968 movie does not appear to have a 'dated' look as far as
the technology, clothing, special effects, etc. Still looks pretty fresh and
part of the illusion is the liberal use of contemporary (even by today's
standards) corporate logos on the equipment.

  Of course, the international space station is not built yet, nor do we
have an established moon base... but we're getting there.
