Hi!

In attachment You can find source file for grass scene. Example of this
scene's rendering could be seen in binaries.images under subject "YAGS
(Yet another grass scene)(113 +108 k)"

Feel free to modify this file or use it in any other way, but if You
come up with something beautiful, then You are under an obligation to
post it to the povray.binaries.images! </kidding>

Super. I'm looking forward to it. I've already discovered that having
3 Netscape windows open while trying to render that file is a Bad Idea,
but I intend to run it (and read it) as soon as I've cleared the decks.

It's lovely for another reason: POVWin 3.1 gives one of the funniest
warning messages I've ever seen:

try2.pov:20: Warning: suspicious expression after rgbf

OK, expression, we're gonna keep an eye on you, so watch your step!

That's what happens when you have rgbf<1,1,1> and you don't
have the fourth component in the color vector. This warning has
been around at least since v2.2.

Sorry, I should have mentioned it. Yes it is suspicious, but it works as
intended.

No apologies necessary. I found the message delightful, and the
grass itself is extremely cool, though I haven't figured out yet
why it works.

And btw, Ken, unless I've lost my ability to count, the line in
question was:

	color rgbf SomeColor*<1,1,1,.001>

where the resultant color isn't a cross product (whatever that might
mean for a color) but rather the color values multipled, one by one
by the values in the second vector -- a very cool trick I took note
of and no doubt will use some day.
