I know it has been discussed here before and I even seem to remember
that it should be in one of the demo-files but I couldn't find it
anywhere: I'm lloking for a way to use a candle as a light source. A
(semi-)realistic flame will do already.
I hope someone here can point me in the right direction.

Remco

Pov 3.0x had an example scene, created by Dan Farmer,
of burning matches that are excellent. It was in the showoff
directory. Title matches.pov.

Also take a look over on the binaries.images
NG and look at the source code that Dan Connely
posted using Pov 3.1 media. I think He might also
posted another source code for media flame on one
of the animation NG's within the last week or so.

Thanks for the hints. I checked Dan's files. It's a bit too much for a
candle and I haven't installed 3.01 yet so I couldn't render it. I0m
still a relative beginner with POV and haveonly gotten halfway the docs
by now :-)
As for the matches, I saw that one, started rendering it, but I thought
it took too long (compared to the other samples) so I didn't finsih it.
I'll look at it again.

Remco
