Hi All!

Here is my church scene.
I have been programming it for 2 months, learnt the *basic* shapes (i.e.
sphere, box (mainly!), torii etc) and a few good textures (T_Wood8,T_Stone5
etc..). I also use a good imperial piece of graph paper. My scale is one
POV unit to one inch, so it easy to visualise. As long as you enter in the
coord's correctly, and look a the right place, nothing goes wrong. Render
the scene regularly as you add bits in to see it changing. And lastly just
two more pieces of advice I would give from my experience: Set the
background to White first of all, things are much clearer! The first light
you add, make it shadowless (i.e. use the shadowless command in the
light_source statement). This way, no shadows will prevail, and you'll see
what you are doing!
I hope this helps. Please remember, I am only an amateur and I did this
scene by just carefully visuallising in my mind how things would turn out.
Over the last two months, my scene has been built up gradually. There are
no secrets, perhaps patience is one of the best qualities! I will send the
source as soon as I get it organised.
Yours from here on a cold Winter's night in East Yorkshire,
Peter W T Mash
