I've put a bunch of comments in the code to help, but if I've missed something let me know.

The mapgen.pov file generates the maps(I used the PNG format but can't remember why). There are three declares at the top(go_color, go_map, go_bump) Uncomment the declare to make that map type. Also you may want to touch up the material map output, the are spots in it(don't know why).

The fabric.pov file uses the three map files to create the texture. I didn't include the mesh that you saw the texture map onto, it was too big and I didn't want to bloat the zip file too much.
