POV-Ray therapy is good for the soul, especially over a long weekend - just
playing around with some splines and materials and lighting and such...

Nice work !
Most of all I like the painting-like effect: was it achieved by
texturing only or by some other tricks ?

Hi Robert - it's good to see you in here, and I'm glad that you still find the
time to explore new compositions.
One can see some Auguries of Innocence in this one.
I wonder what they could be seeking - a walrus?
Something in a Bald Eagle's nest?
Koo koo kachoo.
Perhaps they will give birth to a new David Bowman.
And he will ponder, "Which came first?" "Why did I cross?"
Perhaps he will arrive where he started. And know the place for the first time.
- BW

I know, I know :)
I also like to play around with it, even if it doesn't make sense and I actually
have other things to do.

Eye candy scratching ocular globes ! Love the organic dirty look.

Or to get lucky and shiny, they look like they're doomed not to find it :
Seeking their cloned fortunes without bulging an inch, only agitating.
Imprisoned in a conformist, mechanical web, each a bar of their own cells. Even
the motion of their limbs doesn't look real, only as that of the space masses
through which one may be observing. The hope however, lies in their clear
spherical heads, there is soul there, for thirsty minds to drink.

They look like a bunch of dead or dying 'Clackers' from the 70's. I always
wondered where they went. ;)

Thanks YB, it's all just layered textures and materials.

Thanks Bill, I can't help myself, I just get drawn back into POV-Ray sometimes.
I love the clarity of creating art with code.

Thanks Maurice, I usually go for the dirty organic vibe.

Hah hah, I had a couple sets of Clackers when I was a kid, but they were
outlawed after shards of Clacker blinded some people (yikes!).

Reminds me of a 1970s Yoko Tsuno comic, "The Three Suns of Vinea"...
