Just playing around with glass and then wood.
-Original scene by Stephen Coy (vivid1.v)
-Pawn object by Sean Day
-Fern (bamboo?) plant by Tsutomu HIGO
-Skysphere by HE Day
Swapped out the checker pigment for round boxes (shapes.inc),
Modified Seans pawn object to have a wooden base, simple image map for the wood
texture.

Somehow, I do prefer this one with the wood textures. Nice composition
and lighting. Well done sir!

My eye was drawn to the fern...
Is that a mesh or do you have a good SDL model for it?

I agree with Thomas, the wood texture looks better, love the black and white
tiles (you can't beat a good checkered plane) the textures, lighting and
composition are really good. I had forgotten about my chess pieces images so
thanks for the credit.

Thanks Thomas, I think I might be getting the hang of area lights (after all
those years), but it does take a bloody long time to render!

Hi Chris,
The plant is made of two spheres, two boxes and a cylinder, clickety-click the
link here:

Small warning; depending on the scene it may take a bit of time to render!

And thanks to you Sean for sharing the code to your chess set, I do like a nice
bit of CSG.
