All the images are stunning, and perhaps I prefer this one better.

Thanks,
here's a variation of that concept. Replacing the sphere points with blobs -
populating a 2nd blob surface. Post a reply to this message

Wait.. "The" Mike Miller aka jack in the box Mike Miler?
I have to say you are the reason I picked up Povray from PC Format magazine in
1993 so glad to see you are back and a big thank you for the inspiration.
Also, great abstract landscapes, this one is my favourite.

Thanks Sean,
you're showing your age. :) I was just thinking about CTDS script for smooth
forms. I used it extensively for Jack's face. Post a reply to this message

And here I was, thinking that I was an old timer. I didn't know about
POV until 2003. Post a reply to this message

Oh LOL! I checked, and my oldest POV-Ray rendered images are dated
August 1997. I must have come across it a few months /after/ I played
with BreezeDesigner.

I think my earliest POV renderings are from 1991-92. Around the time DKBTrace
became POV. I had been using Imagine on an Amiga before buying a Tandy 3000. A
big step up from my xt8086 that took forever to trace a scene. :) Post a reply to this message

So you are in fact the same Mike Miller who posted the image attached
here almost 20 years ago?

I read first about POV-Ray in 1995 in Chip, a German computing magazine
and started soon after this with playing around with the raytracer (back
then using Moray as a frontend)... but discovered news.povray.org only
in 2000!
