Photographs or renders? If you look carefully at the first of the four, 
you can see the star intersecting the bowl at one point... So? What do 
you think?

[somehow, I have the nagging feeling to have seen these before; 
especially number 4... hmm]

I had seen, but I do not know where and when, a series of photos recreating 3d
scenes...

Does you mean someone takes photos to imitate 3d scenes?

Anyway, I'm not sure if that "metal ball" is a retraced scene. The resolution of

common 3.1 MPix CCD Sensor format called SUXGA.

Yes, real scenes made with objects to mimic 3D rendering. It seems to me that I
saw it in the newsgroup, but maybe I'm wrong.
