The pump looks like it's been painted red, then the paint got wornd away
untill the bare metal started to show in places.
The darker parts, where the primer also got wornd, do look like they
could be slightly rusted.

Yes, the called "rusted pump" is not really rusted. I have decided to paint it
red according to the green watering can.
And yes, the texture is not so good.

In fact, the first version of the pump is a modified texture of Thomas de Groot.
But, since I want a red texture, I haave tried to make it. It is a good way to
improve my textures-POV's skill.

The green texture does indeed work better.

The final state of objects, but not yet the final render, missing radiosity,
area_lights and blur, plus some little fix.

It's a quite complex composition now.
I like the shadows on the wall.

Thanks. Actually I am working on lights, I am trying to keep the shadows with
area_lights.
Working also on a feather's macro.

IIRC, I found a great little feather macro a few years ago.
I can't seem to find it online, but I can check on my laptop at home.

Unless anyone else is familiar with it, and has a link or archive copy.

Right, I saw that - I'm not sure it's the same author though.

Also - just thought you might be interested in what I did with a propeller -
seems similar to making a feather...
