but pieces are cut to size.

Checkers/chess set; the real one is only a selection of three types of 
wood so far.

I would like to take a picture of a similar setup and compare to my 
Povray output.

Nice. I like the fact that it protrudes 'out of the screen' rather than
receding into it-- a good subject for that.

I thought I had lost my my red/cyan cardboard glasses; finally found 'em!
