Also been tinkering with some ornaments in sketchup... but it wasnt as easy I
had expected... most likely because I was doing it wrong.
I dont think I have ever come up with a really simple way to do meandered stuff.
But that litte piece was horribly laggy, that is not very impressive.
And the conversion to pov ray broke down at one point; I had to open it with
sketchup 2015 and save it as a ver 7 file, then it worked... :p

You do beautiful work, and your many years of practice and dedication show.
I still need to work through even the small portion of work you made available
in the zip file, and work enough of it out to begin to start making some test
scenes of my own based on what you've compiled.
Thank you for sharing your skills, and being yet another member of the community
that inspires the rest of us to keep working in our own way to capture beauty
and bring it to the screen.

Glad to hear it! That really made my day. :)
I am going to be busy with my job for about 3 more weeks, then I will have some
more time for this. So that I can start working on the rustic components. Anyway
that is the plan... ;)
Best wishes! /A

Here are some scraps left over from the weekends session, using the spiral
columns made with Bald Eagles sphere mesh. /A

I like this one. the stone texture is excellent; I am not too sure about
the columns though. For stone, the fine indentations look too small for me.

You're thinking like a geologist. You only get to see the old ones. This
is brand new. ;)

Yeah,
Those are obviously laser cut.
Made with light rays and stuff.

That young generation! Lasers! I ask you! In my days, you used a chisel
and hammer and got hit over the head if you chipped it wrong.

Ha! I am comforted in the knowledge that I am right. I would like to see
those columns after a wet winter of severe frost! ;-)
