I start a new thread after the "subsurface experiment", as people seem to be
curious about my cloudscapes images.

Here is yet another one.

PS : I recall that I lost the code after a system crash. Shame on me. But I
still know the guidelines that lead to those results. I experimented quite a lot
for TerraPOV.

Image missing?

I still have your (unfinished) TerraPOV documentation on my PC. It may
be that it would need some update for v3.7?

Yes, image missing. It seems I have problems today sending images. Here it is.

More than this. TerraPOV is in a embryonic and experimental state. It needs a
complete R&D, and a complete rework. I do not dare revive the project.
Soooooooooo much to do. But I also remember it was sooooooo exciting.

How long did the image take to render? What kind of CPU do you have?

Those clouds are impressive!

Well. It is years ago. I had a single-core Athlon 3000 @ 2Ghz.... So far I can
remember, those cloudscapes took about 1 hour at that resolution. But I cannot
be sure. So many sleepless nights ! Today, it would be another story.

I must confess that an appropriate built-in density function for clouds would be
superkalifragilisticexpialedociously welcome.

Looks nice. Reminds me for the Star Wars planet "Tatooine".
The color change of the distant clouds is awesome!

Maybe, some density could do wonders in many more existing functions of
POV-Ray, just thinking...

Know what? Promote it within the appropriate newsgroups, and on the
POV-Ray group in Facebook. You might soon get the team to do this.
