That's the challenge!

My own work-flow is like this: first I build the (rough) outlines of my 
scenes, often with place-holders to get an idea of the whole 
composition, then I start gradually to fill in, often starting with 
messing around with textures, fine-tuning scene details, 
adding/deleting/replacing/moving objects, often /ad nauseam/ until I am 
satisfied or close to, or discouraged even.

Overall, it is a gradual process which asks for a bit of patience and - 
not in the last place - time.
