A variation on the theme.  Again, inspired by Richard Rosenman's "Glass Panels."

The dispersion caustics are beautiful on this one.  Thirteen lenses also creates
a pretty pattern, but I'm not going to budget the time for a full render.

Another nice shot!
I'm curious to see the sphere rotated a little towards the observer, now ;-)

That's indeed a good suggestion; additionally also a tiny bit of 
rotation around the z-axis, assuming we are looking along it.
