OK, now I am wondering what the obvious issue with the trunk opening is? I was
aiming for something simliar to:

Thanks for the ideas, will give them some thought (which means workout which
will be the easiest to model and do ;-)

Like Thomas, I cannot see anything resembling a staircase.

There are no leaves on the dandelions--at least none that are visible.

Of course, it is that the little dog is missing... ;-)

The obvious issue is me poorly choosing words. I wasn't trying to say
any more than you and others have said about inside texture of the tree
being off.

The little dog is _MISSING_?!
Send out the search party of Garden Gnomes!
Send word to the Pink Flamingoes!
Fire the Pollen alarm!
And for the love of all that is tiny and canine, set loose the Woodland Faeries!

{We're coming, Toto!}

If I were to do a darker version that would work but I am leaning more towards a
daylight image at the moment (still plenty of time to try out different
variations).

Thanks

Correct, I looked at several photos and in many cases (especially in long grass)
you cannot see the leaves so I opted for the easy approach of not adding them at
this point. I am thinking of revisiting this though and adding them plus some
flowering ones before they have gone to seed also.

That's OK then, the stairs/interior I can fix, the dog maybe beyond my blob
skills ;-)

Amazing what you can do with SDL. I've pretty much given up with SDL and use a
mesh modeller for everything (usually).
