Hi:
Here is my last humble macro for your criticism and suggestion:
The Composition guides for pov-ray camera.
Includes 16 grids that I've collected from various tutorials on picture
composition.
The golden spiral is an image map that cannot be altered, unless someone invents
a way to modify it color by a parameter.

Hi
On paper I have found a way to fit the golden spiral grid. Within 24 hours I
think I will publish the update.

At povray.text.scene-files you should find now the updated-no-image_map-version
of the composition guides fh include file (and a small demo.scene) which adjust
the golden spiral to the aspect_ratio. Note that is drawn in the center of the
image, whether the aspect ratio is greater or less than phi. Damn mathematics.
