I finally found some time to do some rendering recently, and went back to the
space lego...

Instructions from Brickfactory (www.brickfactory.info)
Modelled with Bricksmith/LDraw (www.ldraw.org)
Hoses synthed with LSynth (see ldraw)
POV-Ray parts from LGEO (www.digitalbricks.org/lgeo.html)
Converted with l3p (see ldraw)
Rendered with POV-Ray3.7

Funfunfun :)

Bill

If nobody showed off, there wouldn't be any images to look at ;-)

Great images, the first one looks a bit grainy at the rear and also on the
flexible pipes, could just be the render quality settings. Other than that
excellent quality images and good lego models. Do you have to place the pieces
individually. Could probably find this out myself if I checked out the links
;-).

Cheers! I expect I could crank up the aa and radiosity a bit...

Yep! Quite slow but also quite satisfying :)

Nice, is this a brickshelf design as well. The gray wheels are interesting. I'm
used to black in the classic models.

Hmm, good point, I don't think they're supposed to be grey. I've had to tweak
the textures extensively from what LGEO produces, so I've obviously got some
more to do. Probably the ambient - the converter seems to assume POV-Ray 3.1!
Current task: going through the include files and adding photon blocks to
transparent items.

Instructions from the link given, I should look at brickshelf by the sounds of
it!

Bill
