Hi people,

this is this years season's greetings card.
Snow from a macro by Gilles Tran, astronomic stuff from a macro by Chris
Colefax.
The scenery has been recycled from last year, Rudolph and the presents have
already been used in 2006, so this is quit a lazy attempt...

Nevertheless, Merry Christmas to all

Karl

Nice image Karl, and a Merry Christmas to you too.

Quite understandable about Rudolph. He is expected to return each and every
year, isn't he ;-)

Since this gets printed at 10cm*15cm, i.e. 300dpi, there won't be any artifacts
visible, and it's a SERIOUS gain in render time :)

Concerning the choice of paper: you wouldn't believe what some people use
here...

Again, Merry Christmas everyone, and thanks for your comments...

Karl

Cool ... I didn't know that! I was shooting for the Charlie Brown thing. He
always got a rock in his stocking or trick or treat bag.

Funny and true story: My dad had a friend who warned his son to behave at
Christmas time, or Santa would leave coal in his stocking. The boy paused,
then wanted to know what coal was. His dad thought a bit, and said, "Well,
it's kind of a black rock that you can set on fire." The kid's eyes lit up
and he yelled, "COOL! I want some coal!"

And the wheels just keep turning'...
