I like this lighting technique very much! I certainly would like to see it

OTOH, is it envisionnable, as a complement to this file format and if it is not
a nonsense, to define light intensity & color as functions (or pigment?)?

Only, shouldnt the shadows (i.e. on left side) be more blurry?
