Hello, all of you! This is my first contribution.

I uploaded the image which I made with POV-Ray in the web page,

Most are made with POV-Ray.
They were made for "Rose Papillon" in Kobe Japan.

I hope that all of you do various evaluation.

hmm, what exactly is Rose Papillon?  a contest?

the images are surely very beautiful...

"Rose Papillon" is shot bar (a shop drinking one cup of alcohol).
Is the shop called "shot bar" in Japan, called "shot bar" in English?

hey, welcome aboard!  The povray newsgroups is truly international... ^_^

I imagine it's not just the language barrier: you have to master a whole other
alphabet as well, right?  though not anywhere near as daunting as kanji or
hiragana...

No..., maybe. Now Im using excite and infoseek translator... Oh, in a sense it
works automatically.
