rudder and elevator were also called "wings" making it a pain to isolate
(I am not even going to try)

Man, it shows. I think you could bang out a better model yourself in
Wings in a few minutes.

It seems most things still need to made from scratch with sophisticated
software.
This is an experiment and my first attempt at wavefront export to pov.
Can't find enough variety (or any for that matter) of Wavefront obects to write
anymore code.

Skip, this is an off-topic question for you, but I knew a Skip at the field I
used to fly RC at a couple years back. I could be mixed up on last names, but
by any chance do you fly RC?
Thanks!
Charles

That's a negative. I've always been interested in aviation, but never
got into RC flying (just flight simming and airshows).

OK It was a very long shot but I had to ask. I think your last name
sounded familiar, combined with the context triggered a question-mark.

Many of us had RCs to use as "wind dummies" to check the lift when it was
blowing less than 18 mph. When the lift hit, the RC went in the car and
everyone ran for wings.
Here I am back when life was self-made.
