I've developp an isosurface rather tha na high_fiels. Even if it's longer to
render, the result is better.
but Here, for these 2 pictures, i m not satisfaid, casue of something which is
wrong, but I can't see what (lights, angles, composition). This subject
interests me a lot, but I don't arrive to give the real atmosphere.
What is missing ?

My 1st thought is : anti-aliasing :-)
I'd scale down wood pattern too.

Yes, Marc, I'll try to do that...
I've also tried different gradients of oranged dark skies which give a good
result..

I'd love to see where those 'Bridge Guards' are hanging from? :)
Your images are good work, keep it up! :)

Cool idea danbo. The isosurface looks much better than the heightfield.
All the boards are identical - try varying the wood texture so each board is
unique.
Also, maybe try some averaged normals on the spheres and color mapping to break
up the perfection a bit...
Are you using radiosity for these renderings?

Thanks for all
Rob M
I've thought about what you wrote, but, i first put the scene and each time, I
let it for many days or weeks, and after this time of latence, I work back in
the way you describe.
I like when people have accurate notices, 'cause it helps me to have a new look
at my works, and at everyone's work.
