I've had a go at combining the menacing figures from my 'Evil Eyes' post
with a flower theme. There's no stems and there is an intersection between
two flowers in the foreground that you'll have to ignore. I'm not
particularly happy with it, and barring a flash of inspiration (or some
suggestions here) I think I might just leave it for now.

I would definitely not like to touch these flowers!!
I think your concept is interesting: at first glance, a field of sunflowers,
but in detail flowers with an evil mind... Apart from the glitch you
mentioned, it is well done.
Still... I miss the menacing atmosphere your previous images had. The menace
is not really brought over to the oberver here, perhaps because the
creatures' attention is not focussed on a single 'victim'. They are more
waiting expectantly than purposefully moving forward.

My sentiments exactly. Like many things it sounded like a good idea at the
time, but a combination of my limited skills and time mean the concept just
doesn't really work. Oh well, at least I now know the equation for a
sunflower spiral!

Yes. What I meant is I now know the easy way to implement it: r = c sqrt(n),
theta = n 137.5, where c is a scaling factor and n is the integer position
of the elements of the spiral.

Nice. I remember years ago one of the BBC's Christmas Lectures that
explained this beautifully. Then I made a little POV scene (which I cannot
find anymore...)

Yes! I was hoping you would carry through with that idea, and it looks
great... interesting camera angle and I'm glad you took the time to
implement the mathematical beauty behind sunflowers.
