Cheers mate. It only took about 20 minutes actually, and the bottleneck was
probably the sphere sweeps! Anyway here's another variation:

Let see: cels seems to be blobs, or simple isosurfaces derived from sphere.
Probably using megapov with the aoi pattern. Another way would be the use of a
"crown" of shadowless lights.
Sphere_sweeps with normals.
No obvious use of media, maybe use of a regular fog coloured red.
