It's a Lego set, not an original creation, but I still wish I had one.  A
lot better than that darn Toyota.  Here's a large version and a version
showing the gears:

It's made with the LDraw system, the Bricksmith interface, and LSynth for
the chain.  The interface isn't half bad once you figure out groups and
mirroring.  The only tough part was all of the connections which were done
in the forward-kinematic sense (aka trial and error).  Rendering time
~3hrs.

Ooh which set is it?  It looks very nice.  Seems to have come on a bit since 
I was last into Lego, I don't think a front wheel with drive, suspension and 
steering was even possible then...

When I was the most into Lego, there where special bricks with 4 small holes 
where you'd stick the wheels. The wheels would spin, but nothing else.

(Shame about the lighting artifacts. Still, with a render time like 
that... How many damn primitives have you got in there? It must be *loads*!)
