I'm new to POVRay and am trying to learn about lighting. This is rather
simple but my concern with this was the lighting. The
one included radiosity just to see the effects i dont think it was
any different than the render with the area lights only. Nothing too
complex but first shots at realism...PLEASE offer suggestions, I am
currently planning on getting started with Mego POV to learn about HDRI as
I think I'll find the
most realistic renders with these fractal objects.

Thanks for looking!

Beautiful. :-)

However, because you've made the ground plane a highly reflective
surface, we can't see any shadows cast onto it. It does look great, but
if the goal is to see how the lighting looks, I would try a matte surface.

You can go back after you're done playing with the light, of course!

You know you've been raytracing too long when you can recite your high
school Trig book from memory.

You know you've been raytracing too long when you find yourself
fascinated by things other people don't even notice.
