To be honest, the first thing I thought upon seeing the liquid's texture
was "mercury" :-)
I think it's caused by the reflections from the glass being so visible,
or the coffee being so opaque.
Either that or I'm too used to seeing watery coffee ;-)
Cool picture anyhow !

I like the reflective but not totally smooth surfaces. The Cup is very
convincing and also the grey paint texture of the base.

Awesome! Quick question - is the red light to indicate that the surface is
still hot, even though the switch is off? Or, is the switch supposed to be
on? Maybe the switch itself is illuminated when it's on ...

Thanks. I didn't want to make the coffee too clear, but perhaps I could
lighten it up slightly.

Thanks. Unfortuneately I was trying for a brushed metal texture for the
base, I'll admit, not too convincingly :( . Perhaps I could tone the
brushing down a bit to get a bit more unblurred reflection.

Um, you got me there. I got the switch flipped around, the light should
reflect that the burner is on. (Poop)

Try a cup. It's quite tasty today, still fresh.

I think the coffee looks perfect. Maybe he's referring to the bottom half
of the pot, which is metal?
