The only difference I see is the "rust," and if they're supposed to be 
drywall screws, then there shouldn't be any. So I kind-of like the first 
version better. However, the lighting and DOF are excellent.

A beauty.

I agree with the previous post:  They do look like drywall screws--same
helix and oh-so-sharp tip.  (Nice modeling.) In which case they should have
a Phillips-type slot--a cross, that is.  I don't think drywall screws come
with a straight slotted head (?).

I notice that the wood surface has a variable sheen, depending on the grain.
Nice touch. Some actual grain indentations would give it even more reality,
especially in such a close-up view (unless it's just "printed" Formica
laminate!)
