Here's version 2 of my light chip. Thanks to -Orchid XP v3- for the
suggestion about changing the background, it wasn't adding anything to the
picture.

I realize it needs a bit more anti aliasing, but any other comments or
constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Thanks mate. I did indeed use megapov glows (without light sources, just the
glow). The entire chip is actually animated (ie lights follow waveguides,
packets are switched based on their header etc) so having good looking
pulses that render very fast was a must, especially when you have several
thousand frames to render.

Looks verry good, but maybe you must give the datastreem in the 
animation some real information("hello world" in bits/dots and stripes?).

Cheers. Nice idea to encode a message into the pulses, but I think any word
would be much too long (as I'm sure you know, 'hello world' in binary is
~80 bits!).

I like this image a lot. Changing background made a positive difference as
well. Maybe the "cudos"-tag should have some plastic finish on it? If it's
meant to be like a sticker or something...

Anyways, i think it's cool! Nice job.

Thanks for the feedback, attracting attention to the label is a good idea,
and a plastic finish would help. Hopefully it's not obvious, but the
everything on the chip itself has a diffuse value of 0 to speed up the
rendering for the animation. I keep forgetting I don't need to keep things
simple for this still.

Spot on of course, but I'm aiming for a visually interesting
image/animation. The pulses are visible so that the functional elements of
the chip can be seen to do something in the animation.
