I have no idea what this is, or what I should do with it.
This model is not finished at all, just something I stamped out quickly
today - I need some ideas, so offer 'em if ya got 'em.
The textured image is not a direction I am planning on pursuing, it was just
rendered because the black background was rather boring.

Here are the other two images.
(I think - I have a new newsreader and am fumbling around with it trying
to get the bloody thing to work...)

What did you model it with? Do the appendages move?

I modeled it in Silo 1.4.

If I manually push the verts/edges/faces - yes.
Is it boned - nope - I have yet to try to tame that monster.

If the appendages are separate objects from the main body, and if you
carefully ajust the origin of those objects, you can make them movable very
easily, also after export to POV-Ray.

The appendages are separate objects from the body and I can move them the
way you are describing. I was referring to the smooth undulating movements
which are assumed by betentacled creatures.
That would require boning.

Ah yes, of course! That might be possible then by exporting the critter to
Poser!
