I really wish I could come up with stuff like this.

I mean, it's not a complicated image. And it looks really nice. And now
that I see it in front of me, I think "I could do that". But I didn't. I
can never think up anything to render... :-(

Very cool! If I may ask, why hexagons?

Best thing to do is just mess around with whatever you happen to have been
experimenting with. Chances are that something will emerge after a while,
unexpectedly. Don't know for others, but for me that works often fine.

Why not hexagons!!! ;-)

Believe me, this image started off really badly. I just kept adding things,
rotating things, changing the light etc. The thing that made it "come to
life" was changing the camera angle. Just mess around, keep changing
things - eventually it will work out fine!!

I ask because I've been exploring the hexagon shape for my own work.. it has
a certain timeless beauty to it.

Also, now that you mention it, my image "Clean Slate" also came to life when
I changed up the camera angle! (I switched to a panoramic camera also).

Keep it up :)

George

Very nice. Very clean. I like the offset hexagon tiling on the floor.
Much better than checkered :o)

Shock! Horror! Heresy!
Are you trying to start a schism? :-)

Very nice image, I like the DoF and the use of white.

Yeah hexagons are great! I especially like the style I used with the
rounded corners (which I got from Lohmueller site) - makes it much smoother
and cleaner...
