Yet Another Required First Post : Roughly Spherical Thingie Hovering Over A
Checkered Plane ...

Hi All,

have been lurking for years (!) and posted a few opinions and a small anim
quite a while ago. Here now the first of a few stills from me, roughly
following the tradition of RayTracing ...

Comments welcome, of course.
Enjoy

Karl

Sorry, forgot to mention:

the flame is directly from H.E.Day's flamethrower, just as it is found at
http://www.povworld.de/objects/ (search for "fire", and you'll recognize
it).

I left out the smoke, turned it around, scaled it a bit , got the usual
problems of an inexperienced media-user when scaling things but remembered
after a few hours of fruitless experimentation about scaling the density,
too ...

Thank you

Karl

RSOCP posts aren't allowed to be this good. You need to go back and make it
look like something a beginner made. :-)

Seriously, this is great. I'm at a loss as to how this could be improved.
Good job!

William

Thank You, sir, for your kind words.
I have been working with POV-Ray for ChrismasCards, mathematical
illustrations and FUN for quite a while - there is something like personal
standards to keep.... :-)

My first post (not here, but close ;-) ) was in IRTC:Music (kja_pigs.*) The
balloon's pilot comes from the same PosableToyTool :-)

Thanks again
Karl

You know something? I feel a great attraction to those deceptively simple
scenes! Keep on the good work.

Thank you, Thomas.

I'm looking forward to sharing a few more of my little doodles of pigs (and
other "people") here.

Greetings
Karl
