While this image may vaguely remind some of a popular puzzle game (ahem), it
was actually intended to test my ability to place objects within a boundary
function (in this case a bozo pattern, which you can just see in some parts
of the image).

Er, I stole it (verbatim) from Mike Williams:

(Belated) Thanks, Mike! :)

Hmm, strangely enough, it appears Mike posted this texture in response to
*your* question, Rarius!

Hi,

Do you have the code for this posted anywhere? Beautiful image!

Thanks,

Adrian

Thanks! The code is rather messy, but I can clean it up and post it. It
might be easier, however, to discuss a particular technique you wanted info
on.

If you'd rather see the whole thing, give me a bit of time. :)

I'd like to see the whole thing! Really nice image. Makes a cool
wallpaper.

Okay, I posted the scene files over in p.b.s-f. During the cleanup process,
the random generation changed slightly (which isn't surprising), and so the
resultant image you get from running the clean code differs slightly from
the original image. The new image is attached here, although it really
doesn't make any difference.
